New Delhi: Phase 1 of voting for the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 begins April 11, Thursday. Candidates up and down the country ended their campaigning for the first phase today hoping to have put up a good show to woo the voters.

The first phase will see polling for 91 seats in 20 states and Union Territories. Dates for the rest of the six phases are: April 18, April 23, April 29, May 6, May 12 and May 19. The results will be declared May 23.

States and Union Territories that go for election in Phase 1 are: Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Sikkim, Telangana, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.

Bhubaneswar: A day after a video came to fore where union minister Dharmendra Pradhan was seen shouting at Election Commission flying squad members and asking them if they inspect Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s vehicles, another video surfaced today that shows the officials actually inspecting Naveen’s chopper. According to reports, the sudden inspection was carried out Tuesday at Rourkela. Reports further further suggest that unlike Dharmendra, Naveen sat in the chopper all through the inspection and cooperated with the investigators. Bhubaneswar  :  Senior BJP leader Pratap Sarangi Wednesday called Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik a ‘Pradhan Lootera’ while boasting about the virtues of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Addressing a press meet on the chit fund issue, Sarangi said, “Prime Minister Modi is going around the state telling people about what he has done.
